I dined at Icebergs Dining Room and Bar during my visit to Bondi. The location and views are truly stunning — overlooking Bondi Beach, it’s definitely one of the most iconic dining spots in Sydney. The food was overall alright. The menu focuses on Italian cuisine, and I had the chance to try a few dishes that were new to me, which was interesting and enjoyable. The flavours were good and the presentation was nice, though nothing particularly stood out as exceptional compared to other Italian restaurants. Unfortunately, the service experience slightly affected the visit. As an Asian diner, I felt there was a subtle difference in how we were treated compared to some other tables. It wasn’t anything overt, but there were moments that felt a bit dismissive, which made the experience less comfortable than it should have been. With such an incredible location and reputation, I hope the restaurant continues to focus on making every guest feel equally welcome. The setting is beautiful and the food is decent, but hospitality should feel inclusive for everyone.

It was such a great find! Great views! Loved the seafood inspired menu. My modified prawn cocktail salad was way better than the classic original. It was super light and refreshing. Highly recommend putting this place on your bucket list for Sydney.

This has long been on our bucket list and I’m delighted to say the location and meals lived up to the expectations. We walked here from Coogee, and arrived a lot faster than we expected. No problem, they seated us immediately and we had drinks and menus in fast time. The mains were superb, and staff were lovely to talk to. The only complaint we’d have is that they seemed to be overly cautious on gluten free, ruling out options that should have been fine, and not offering to make changes to other dishes. But it turned out the options we were steered to were superb, so, we had a great meal. There’s a decent selection of beers and wines by the glass if you’re not up for a full bottle, and some excellent mocktails for the non drinkers.

We really enjoyed the food, which was well prepared and full of flavour. Portions were satisfying and everything we ordered felt thoughtfully done. The staff were attentive and friendly when they were with us, though at times it wasn’t easy to find someone when we needed assistance, which slightly slowed things down. That said, once engaged, the service was professional and welcoming. The standout of the experience is definitely the view and the location — absolutely amazing and a huge part of the appeal. The setting adds a special atmosphere and makes it a great place to sit back and enjoy the meal. Overall, a very enjoyable experience with great food and an incredible location, with just a little room for improvement on service availability.

Came in for a late lunch. The service was exceptional, all the employees were friendly and helpful with any questions about the menu, or really anything else I asked about. Had a really good conversation with a guy named Lenny from New Zealand and a girl from France after eating, definitely made it an even better experience. The place was really clean and the food was amazing! Highly recommend eating here, I will definitely be back.
